With a total surprise we received yesterday yet another rising in the entrance-fees to Petra, for over-day tourists only, effective as for tomorrow, January 1st 2010.
Regretfully, the current rise in the entrance-fees to Petra was not only brought to our attention at a very short notice, but it makes a distinction between over-day tourists entering Jordan through land-ports (meaning: Israel) and those entering Jordan through sea-ports (meaning: Egypt). There is no doubt about it that the purpose of this selective update is to force clients to book their accommodation in Jordan & Egypt instead of in Eilat. By doing so, the Jordanian authorities will inflict a serious blow on the Israeli tourism industry.
Hence, we are forced to update our price-list accordingly. This update will take effect immediately, and is also valid for bookings already done.
Please do understand that these circumstances, where official entrance-fees in Jordan are set without prior notice, and according to political guidelines, have nothing to do with the vision, integrity and high standards of service we at "Ahalan Olympus" try to maintain. Therefore, should you wish to cancel your trip due to the above mentioned reason, our staff will assist you in any possible way and we will refund you for what you already paid us, without any cancellation fee.
Please do not direct your complaints towards our dedicated staff, as it is not in their hands. Complaints should be directed, preferably in writing, to the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and antiquities.

Pick-up from your hotel in Eilat or from Eilat's airport (around 07:30 AM) and transfer to the Arava Border Crossing with our assist (Rabin border terminal). After ending all border-formalities we drive up to the Jordanian "Desert Highway" and then to the "Rose Red City" - Petra. We enter the ancient city through the famous "Siq" - a narrow natural gorge that made the secret entrance to Petra. At once the valley of Petra opens in front of us, and we see the famous "Khazane" ("Treasury"). We visit the most famous monuments, carved in the red Sandstone and eat lunch (included) nearby, before we go back to our bus. After a short city-tour in Aqaba we reach the Arava Border and return to Eilat.
Our tours to Petra includes as well visit at the "Moses Spring" in Wadi Mussa without any extra cost!
Tour departs daily with minimum 2 pax.
